Volume 2

Lucky Supply & Tattoo Museum is proud to bring you the very first Outta The Archives tattoo history card series. Each card features a gloss photograph on one side and the original file details on the backside. The files came from negatives originally shot and owned by Bernard Lyle Kobel dating as far back as 1890 and featuring some of the most legendary artists in tattooing.

Program FAQ

  1. Does this program extend to all Lucky branches around the world? Just about! It includes the USA, Europe, Canada & Latin America. Lucky Supply New Zealand will be launching their own tattoo archives program in the future!

  2. Can the $50 credit be applied towards a machine? Unfortunately not, however, the codes are applicable to all other supplies.

  3. How will I receive my discount code? A Lucky family member will email you your unique code.

  4. Can I post the photo to my Instagram story vs on my page? We understand you may want to keep your social page strictly showcasing your work. You can post to your story instead but please direct message us a screenshot in case we miss it!

  5. Can I trade cards with another tattooer? YES! We made these in trading card style so that if you receive a card that you already have, simply trade with someone who has one you need!

  6. How often are new Outta The Archives cards released? Every 3 months 6 new cards are released. The cards from the prior batches are then gone for good!

  7. What about some Merch? We’re on it! You’ll see releases of exclusive archival merchandise throughout the year!

  8. Can I receive the store credit if someone else at my shop already received theirs? Totally! We would just need a shot of your cards so we can track the wins and update your account.

  9. Can I receive a credit more than once if I collect another set of 10 or 24 different cards? Yes, you can claim the $50 prize from 10 cards up to 3 times and the $200 prize for 24 cards up to 2 times. You cannot win more than 1 time with cards with the same image on them, all cards must be unique.

Thank you for helping keep tattoo history alive, as well as for your continued support!

The collection has been pieced together over many years, some purchased, and some donated with one thought in mind, keeping in tact some portion of the rich history of the fine art of tattooing.

I feel, in society today sometimes we forget to look back and remember our roots. Tattooing has come a long way over the decades; looking back, it was the pioneers of the art, who practiced in secret and were looked down upon in the eyes of the public, who allowed this art & industry to grow into what it is today. For that I give my thanks to the founders of this wonderful art, and in my own small way I am trying to preserve the beauty and history of the art of tattooing for future generations.
